Newry Couple Accused Of Stealing Nearly $1 Million From Elderly Dependent

A Newry couple was jailed after police said they stole nearly $1 million from an elderly woman they were living with.

David S. Dickman, 45, and Melissa M. Dickman, 44, were arrested after Blair Township police investigated a complaint from Blair Senior Services regarding the theft of money from a 72-year-old client.

According to police, the Dickmans were acting as the woman’s power of attorney after the death of her husband in 2015. Police said David Dickman is the victim’s husband’s adopted son.
