The Morrisons Cove Dairy Show will run Aug. 1 through 5 this year. This is the 71st anniversary of the dairy show.
There are 165 animals entered this year, which is about same number as last year.
The committee encourages community members to enter exhibits in other departments (vegetables, farm crops, needlework, floral, etc.) until noon on Monday, Aug. 1. Baked goods can be entered until 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 2. Call Central High School (814) 473-5328 for a premium catalog.

The show will be offering four state-sponsored baking contests. These include a Blue Ribbon Apple Pie contest, an angel food cake contest, a homemade chocolate cake contest, and a PA-Preferred cookies/brownies/bars contest for juniors. Winners of these competitions will be eligible to compete in the 2023 PA Farm Show.
All type shows start at 9 a.m. this year.
On Monday, Aug. 1, cattle and other exhibits must be in by noon. The junior showmanship contest will be held at 7 p.m. It will be judged by Jenna Lenhart.
Tuesday, Aug. 2, baked goods entries will be accepted until 10 a.m. At 9 a.m., the Blair/Bedford 4-H/FFA Junior Dairy Show will be judged by Lenhart. There will be a milk drinking contest at 7 p.m. At 7:30 p.m., the youth dairy judging contest will take place.
The Open Colored Breeds Show will start Wednesday, Aug. 3, at 9 a.m. This will be judged by Paul Beiler.
Wednesday evening, the Pie and Ice Cream Festival, which is open to the public, will take place at 7. This will be followed by musical entertainment provided by Route 869.
Thursday, Aug. 4, will begin with the Open Red/White and Holstein Shows, judged by Belier.
At approximately noon, there will be the selection of the supreme and reserve supreme animals.
Friday, Aug. 5, the Southwest District Junior Dairy Show will start at 9 a.m. This will be judged by Joe Stitt.
