Dr. Itle Becomes an Associate

Dr. Joseph Itle, a recent graduate of the Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, became an associate of Dr. Raymond Widdmann of Martinsburg. Dr. Widdman was still recuperating from serious burns received in an explosion the previous year.
The new “drive-in” window at the Morrisons Cove Office of the Mid-State Bank and Trust Co. was open. Bank employees would take turns manning the window.
The Central High School Band captured first place at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Department Convention Parade in Harrisburg. The band received 92.4 points out of a possible 100, the most points a band has ever received in the competition.
Andrew G. Rath sustained fractures of both arms and abrasions about the head as a result of a fall from a ladder at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Martinsburg. The Rev. Gerald Moorhead, pastor, suffered severe bruises of the shoulder as he attempted to break Mr. Rath’s fall.
