The Central Dragon Baseball team remains undefeated after two more games against the Central Cambria Red Devils and the Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders. A 10-0 victory over the Red Devils and a 15-0 victory over the Marauders leaves the Dragons with a record of 19-0.
In the first game of the week against Central Cambria, the game was scoreless after the first inning. The Dragons brought in one run in the second, followed by three in the fourth. Then, in the fifth, the Dragons took off, bringing in six runs to end the game with a run-rule. Jacob Detwiler threw four innings, striking out nine, and Ty Helsel threw one inning to combine to no hit the Red Devils. Hunter Smith had two doubles, while Devon Boyles had two hits, including a double. Jeff Hoenstine had a double, driving in two runs, while Dalton Metzger drove in two runs as well.
Against the Marauders, the Dragons exploded into the game, scoring 13 in the first inning alone. Another run in the second and third innings secured the game for the Dragons. Jonah Snowberger led the Dragons to victory with a one-hitter game, striking out five. Paxton Kling doubled and tripled and drove in two runs. Hoenstine had two hits and three RBIs, while Boyles had two doubles. Smith doubled and drove in two, and Parker Gregg had two hits and two RBIs as well. Jonah Snowberger and Griffin Snowberger both added two RBIs.
The Dragons now have one last regular season game against the Forest Hills Rangers before playoffs begin. Playoffs begin after the following week.
