Dragon Volleyball Dominates Opponents New and Old

The Central Dragon Volleyball team faced down both the West Shamokin Wolves and the Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders in victories this week.

During the away match against the Wolves, the Dragons were able to take a victory in the first set 25-23. The Wolves then won the second set 25-20. However, the Dragons won the last two sets 25-20 and 25-22 to win the match.

Eli Lingenfelter delivered 11 service points for the Dragons, while Zach Wyant had eight. Cayden Wright and Zach Gahagan each had six, while Zeb Wyant had five, and Jack Dunn had four.

Zeb Wyant led with 19 kills. Zach Wyant had an amazing 34 assists and 3 blocks. Lingenfelter and Dunn each added 7 kills as well.

In the Dragon’s home match against the Marauders, three matches were all it took to end the game. 25-18, 27-25, and 25-18 set victories left the Dragons winning the match.

Lingenfelter led with nine service points for the Dragons. The Wyant twins each added eight, while Gahagen added seven. Wright added five service points, and Dunn had four.

Zach Wyant dished out 24 assists along with 5 kills.  Zeb Wyant added 12 kills and 3 aces. Lingenfelter added 5 kills as well.

The now 5-0 Central Volleyball team will play the Derry Area High School Trojans in the upcoming week.
