Dave Cadle, representing the Trail Town Market, attended Williamsburg Borough Council meeting last Monday evening to discuss some questions the organizers of the Market had.
Cadle said that they had a request from ReKlaimed Vines from McKee to sell wine during the market and also they wanted to include some entertainment that would require amps for sounds.
“We are just trying to attract people,” Cadle said.
Following much discussion, Council member Dakota Biddle said he didn’t think it would be a good idea to have the winery business “where our kids play.”
Council then instructed Cadle to let the winery know of their decision not to have them at the Market. Paula Hamilton made a motion to make a $20 hookup fee per Saturday that the Market would have entertainment. Bruce Hamilton seconded the motion and the motion passed.
During last month’s meeting, Chief of Police Rowdy Kagarise talked about noise ordinance and dealing with snow removal. Kagarise had previously heard a complaint in regard to a snowblower at 5 a.m. and wanted the ordinance to have more clarification. Solicitor Nathan Karn presented an ordinance with updated changes to the council. The council tabled a vote and discussion on the ordinance until next month’s meeting.
Borough Manager Joe Lansberry said there had been some graffiti at Riverside Park and around the bathrooms. Lansberry suggested the use of cameras in the area to try to catch conspirators. Price estimates for cameras will be available at the next meeting.
