Grape-fruit Received

Miss Annie Keagy was much pleased to receive a box of fine grape-fruit from her brother Henry Keagy of Miami Florida.
Harry H. Lykens, Sr,. a well known insurance agent in Martinsburg, passed away at his home. He had been suffering from a case of grippe when he was stricken with apoplexy followed by uremic poisoning. He was born at Springfield Mines in 1851 and attended Juniata College. He was previously a teacher and served on Martinsburg’s board of education.
Professor Joseph T. Whitaker, 68, a native of Martinsburg, died from pneumonia at Mercy Hospital in Altoona. He was serving as principal of the Keystone schools in Juniata at the time of his death.
DeFord’s Theater was expected to open soon in Martinsburg. Opening night, April 28, the theater was hosting the Senior Class Play, followed by regular Commencement exercises on May 2. After that the theater was to show a regular series of Motion pictures.
