St. John’s Reformed Church of Loysburg will hold a Good Friday worship service at 7 p.m. April 15.
Scripture readings will focus on Christ’s atoning sacrifice for all. Pastor David M. Meckley will share a narrative sermon from the perspective of one of the thieves crucified with Jesus. The choir will sing an anthem, “Come to Calvary.”
The church will also hold its traditional sunrise service at 8 a.m. on Sunday, April 17, in the church pavilion as the sun rises over Tussey Mountain to the east. Youth in the church’s confirmation class will share an engaging dama entitled, “The Gospel According...
