Rosalind M. (Furry) Bulger

Rosalind M. Bulger, 96, of Martinsburg, passed away March 27, 2022, at Homewood in Martinsburg.

She was born Feb. 3, 1926, in New Enterprise; daughter of the late J. William and Alma E. (Detwiler) Furry. On Feb. 21, 1947 in Loysburg, she was united in marriage to Mark H. Bulger, Jr .; he preceded her in death Dec. 5, 2009.

She is survived by a son, James “Jim” Bulger of Saxton (Pam, deceased); daughter, Kathy Stryk (Don, deceased) of Mathis, Texas; three grandchildren: Chris Cessna (Amy), Michael Cessna (Diana), and James Bulger, Jr. (Marcy); and two great-grandchildren: Amanda and Mason.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark and a brother, William Furry.

Rosalind worked alongside her husband and son at the family business, Bulger’s Jewelry Store in Saxton, Martinsburg, and Bedford. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed the couples travel golfing group her and Mark were a part of. Rosalind was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church, Iron Masters Country Club, and The Order of the Eastern Star, Saxton Chapter.

At request of the deceased, services will be private. Inurnment will be in Dry Hill Cemetery.

If so desired, Memorial Contributions in Rosalind’s name can be made to the Homewood at Martinsburg Benevolent Fund or the Faith United Methodist Church.
