The Claysburg Library hosted a Turtle Talk program on March 22. John Bandzuh from the Blair County Conservation District came to the library and brought some friends. He talked about the kinds of turtles he brought and their habitat. The children were encouraged to touch the turtles and feed them.
Mark your calendar for some future programs at the library. On April 12, the Claysburg-Kimmel High School Ag Club will be at the library to offer an Easter Egg Hunt for young children. Children can get a picture taken with the Easter Bunny as he will make an appearance.
Many look forward to the library's Used Book Sales. The library is gathering and organizing donated books in their garage. May 2 through 5 and May 7, the garage will be open for purchasing books. Books can be purchased with a donation of the customer's choice. Library members cleaned out the old books that didn't sell in past sales and have new book donations. The sale will take place during library hours, which are Monday 10 to 7, Tuesday 10 to 5, Wednesday 10 to 5, Thursday 10 to 7 and Saturday 9 to 1.
