Steven Dennis Eastep

Steven Dennis Eastep of Alma, Ontario, Canada, passed away unexpectedly with Sandra by his side after a valiant battle with cancer Sunday, March 13, 2022, in his 70th year.

Beloved husband of Sandra (Grose) Eastep for 43 years. Dear father of Neil Eastep of Guelph, Ontario, Dale and Kim Eastep of Lavigne, Ontario, the late Rick Raymond Eastep (2019) and Kimberley Eastep and boyfriend Gregory Blake of Whitby, Ontario. Loving grandfather of Katie, Caleb and Keegan. Loved son of the late Robert and Grace (Weitzel) Eastep. Brother of Bob and Gladys Eastep of Walkersville, Maryland, Glen and Bev Eastep of Hawthorn Woods, Illinois, Don and Linda Eastep of Williamsburg, Pennsylvania, Shirl Shaffer and friend Steven Nicols of Kennedale, Texas, Audrey and Don Stutzman of Imler, Pennsylvania and Tom and Sharon Eastep of Martinsburg, Pennsylvania. Son-in-law of the late Raymond and Ruth (Wood) Grose. Brother-in law of Gordon and Christine Grose of Alma and Walter and Sharon Grose of Alma. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and friends.

Steven spent 6 and a half years in Togo West Africa, where he served with the Peace Corps to help teach agriculture. Upon his return he attended the University of Guelph and received his diploma in Agriculture and Mechanics. Steven and Sandra farmed and raised their family south of Alma for 44 years.

To honour Steven’s wishes there will be a private family service held in the Alma Community Center.

As expressions of sympathy donations to the Grand River Cancer Centre or Creekside Church, Waterloo would be appreciated by the family.
