Woodbury Seeks Bids for Royer, Lower Clover Creek

One of the big projects upcoming for Woodbury Township was announced during this month’s meeting on March 4. Supervisors announced that they will be soliciting bids in early April (April 7 and 14) for Royer and Lower Clover Creek. Vice Chairman Ed Clark made the motion to advertise with Craig Hamilton seconding, the motion passed.

Following last month’s motion to advertise a 10-ton weight limit on Lower Piney Creek Road, Clark made the motion to adopt ordinance number 2022-01. With Craig Hamilton seconding, the motion passed.

Royer Mansion asked the township for permission to host their annual “Wine in the Woods” event. Craig Hamilton made the motion to grant permission, with Ed Clark seconding. The motion passed.

A resident in the township recently burned leaves in a plastic pipe that melted a pipe under the township road. Supervisors discussed the labor costs of billing that resident. Described as “services rendered – hourly rate caused by residents,” supervisors agreed on a wage that would equal $16.46 per hour plus the cost of insurance and worker’s compensation. Hamilton made the motion, with Clark seconding. The motion passed. The resident will also be responsible for pipe, gas, cold patch and blacktop costs.
