Judith Ann (Neeley) Ayers, 79, of Martinsburg, passed away Friday evening, Feb. 18, 2022, at The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg.

She was born June 9, 1942, in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Julius Neeley and Marian (Kensinger) Dodson and was also preceded in death by her step-father, Warren Dodson.

On Oct. 22, 1960, she married John D. Ayers at the Black Oak Mennonite Church, Warfordsburg.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years; a son, Brian Ayers (Sue) of Martinsburg; a daughter, Barbara Ayers of Martinsburg; a daughter-in-law, April Ayers of Sherman Oaks, CA; seven grandchildren: Brent Ayers, Eric Ayers (Madison), Shane Ayers, Neeley Ayers, Bridget Ayers, Kyle Ayers and Nolan Ayers; four great-grandchildren: Adelynn, Thaddeus, Remington and Kerrigan; three sisters: Winnie Hamilton (Dennis) of Roaring Spring, Patricia Lorenzen (Mike) of Sedona, Az. and Mary Hall (John) of Loysburg Gap; and two brothers: Sam Dodson (Diana) of Martinsburg and Ken Dodson (Barb) of Salemville.

She was preceded in death by a son, Keith Ayers; and a brother, Carl Dodson.

Judy was a 1960 graduate of Morrisons Cove High School, Martinsburg and a member of Mt. Pleasant United Church of Christ, rural Martinsburg.

She was primarily a homemaker, who loved spending time with her family. Judy also enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, camping, shopping and attending auctions.

The family would like to express their sincerest appreciation and gratitude for the care and love that Judy received from the entire staff of The Village at Morrisons Cove.

At the request of the deceased there will be no public viewing or services. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions in memory of Judy may be given to Martinsburg Community Library, 201 S. Walnut St., Martinsburg, PA 16662.
