Donna S. Irvin, 83, of Williamsburg, passed away Wednesday morning, Feb. 16, 2022, at UPMC Altoona.
She was born March 7, 1938, in Altoona, daughter of the late, Oliver P. and Edith N. (Criswell) Sollenberger. On April 28, 1957, she married Donald C. Irvin at the Williamsburg United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her beloved husband of almost 65 years; a daughter, Cheri R. Smith (Mark) of Martinsburg; three sons: Randy C. Irvin (Marybeth) of Pittsburgh, Doug S. Irvin (Karen) of Raleigh, NC and Phillip D. Irvin (Robin) of Roaring Spring; six grandchildren: Wade Smith (Jill), Nichole Dalton (Mark), Cassandra Rex (Chris), Elizabeth Irvin, Joshua Irvin and Lillie Irvin; four great-grandchildren: Emily, Ethan, Leah and Addie; a brother, Nevin Sollenberger (Janet) of Claysburg; a sister-in law, Helen Loose of Martinsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her canine companion, Lacy.
Donna was a 1956 graduate of Williamsburg High School. She was a longtime faithful member of Williamsburg United Methodist Church, where she formerly taught Sunday school. Donna also served as past Worthy Matron for the former Williamsburg Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.
She was a loving homemaker, who also worked for nine years at Te-Eara Shoes in Roaring Spring and as a door to door “Avon Lady” for many years.
Donna loved spending time with her family, square dancing, round dancing and taking bus tours with her husband, Don. She also enjoyed bowling, cooking and completing adult coloring books.
