Holsinger Resigns as Pastor

Herald of Feb. 24, 1922

Rev. William H. Holsinger resigned as the pastor of the Williamsburg Church of the Brethren. Before becoming the minister at the Williamsburg church, he pastored at Smithfield and Fairview. The Williamsburg church was considered one of the newest churches in the area.

John P. Allen, formerly of Woodbury, died at the age of 65 in New Castle. Mr. Allen, who was engaged in the grocery business there, was inspecting the crash of two auto trucks in front of this store when a third machine crashed into the wreckage, injuring him so severely that he died. He is survived by his wife, the former Nannie Bechtel of Salemville.

Quinter Showalter of Larke bought a milk route from James Edward. He began to deliver milk in Williamsburg.

A very pleasant and interesting party was held by the Junior Class of the Martinsburg High School in the high school building. Games were played and refreshments of cake, ice cream, pickles and candy were served.
