On the November ballot, there were questions regarding the Second Amendment, which garnered attention throughout Blair County last year. An initial draft was sent to townships and municipalities in Blair County, and Woodbury was no exception.
Solicitor Aimee Willett explained the resolution is basically “the terms and what it means.” The conversation was tabled until the next meeting, but if residents want to look at the resolution it is available at the township for reading and comments.
Vice Chairman Ed Clark made a motion for the fee resolution for the new Tax Collector Tina Bowmaster for fees and copies if requested. Craig Hamilton seconded motion, and the motion passed. Clark also made the motion for Kelsie Lego to be the deputy tax collector for the township with Craig seconding. The motion passed.
Craig Hamilton made a motion for Young, Oakes, and Brown to conduct the 2021 DCED audit for the township at a cost of $3,200, Clark seconded, motion passed. Riverview Bank, in Williamsburg, announced their closure in March, and will provide a check reader to the township. Ed Clark made the motion to approve the check reader. With Hamilton seconding, the motion passed.
Lower Piney Creek Road was part of a road study for the township. Craig Hamilton made a motion to advertise an ordinance with the weight limit. Ed Clark seconded and the motion passed.
An executive session was held following the meeting with regard to the legal proceedings with Sunoco.
