S.C. Power Reunion Plans For Annual Banquet

Southern Cove Power Reunion’s meeting was called to order by President Jason Hileman. Last month’s meeting minutes were read by Melanie Clapper Club Secretary. Treasurer’s report given by Treasurer Amy Mellott. There is $4,236 in the Hometown Bank Museum Fund. In the Hometown Checking Account there is $33,143.

The club’s annual banquet has been set for May 21 at the club grounds. Royal Rangers will do a chicken BBQ meal. Cost will be determined with the new price and stated at next meeting. Dessert will be donated. Ritchey’s Ice Cream will be provided.

Fred Mellott presented information on a matching fund program by the Bedford County Visitors Bureau. If the logo of Bedford County Visitors Bureau is used in advertising the club can obtain some grant money reimbursement for this.

Judith Ott will now oversee scheduling events for the community. If you have an event such as a wedding, a reunion, etc. please call Judith at (814) 932-6166 and leave a message. You can rent by the day or the weekend. Restrooms, refrigerator and freezer are provided.

The club’s ham and cheese sale was very successful. At this time the club is taking orders for apple dumplings to be delivered on March 3 and 4. See any club member to order or call Judith Ott to place your order.
