Keller Engineers Discusses Road Work at South Woodbury Twp. Meeting

On Feb. 1, South Woodbury Township Supervisors met in the township building.

Minutes were reviewed and approved as read.

Treasurer report given and approved. Total liabilities and Equity were $2,237,895.58.

Tax Collection Committee met on Jan. 22, and the 2022 budget was approved.

The roadmaster reported that snow was plowed.

The final subdivision Plan for Luke and Linda Rissler was approved. The house, barn and buildings were taken off a piece of farmland of about ten acres.

An email was received concerning the continued efforts to have broadband added to and improved in Bedford County. More grants will need to be approved to keep improving system.

Names will be added to the Veteran Memorial when weather breaks.

An updated municipal solid waste plan, Resolution 2022-4, was ratified. This was a year update. The township agreed with the plan.

Wastewater plant operations are going well with no real problems. A transformer was ordered for the UV tank.

Keller Engineers was present to discuss culvert that will be added to Golden Rule Road this year. A tentative price was given with the supervisors doing some of the ditch work to cut down on costs. Cost will be approximately $127,000. Engineers will attend the March meeting to further discuss and get approval to advertise for bids for project.

Next meeting will be March 1 at 9 a.m. in the township building.
