The Central Dragons faced three daunting games this week against the Bedford Bisons, the Forest Hills Rangers, and the Westmont Hilltoppers. They came out victorious in all their games this week with scores of 61-60, 52-45, and 61-34.
The Dragons began their week with a home game against the Bedford Bisons. Eli Lingenfelter led the Dragons with 20 points. Hunter Smith also put up 13. Trailing by one point in overtime, Central’s Rylan Daugherty was fouled and put on the free throw line. He made both shots to give the Dragons the one point lead they needed for the victory. Central’s JV also found victory against the Bisons with a score of 34-31. Jack Dunn was the high scorer with 8 points.
On Wednesday, the Dragons traveled to Forest Hills to face the Rangers. Lingenfelter was the high scorer for the Dragons with 13 points, followed closely behind by Smith with 11 himself. Central’s JV, however, were not able to beat the Rangers, losing 31-29. High scorer was Eli Muthler with 12 points.
Rounding off the week on Friday for the Dragons were the Westmont Hilltoppers. Lingenfelter achieved a game-high 24 points for the Dragons, while Seth Bean tagged on 13 more. Central’s JV fell to the Hilltoppers 47-41. High scorer was Muthler with 13 points.
The Dragons, now 13-4, will continue to face the Bishop McCourt Crushers on Monday, and the Penn Cambria Panthers on Thursday.
