Atlas Furniture Imports Delivers the World

Atlas Furniture Imports opened in the former Calvin House location on Plank Road in Duncansville last August. Owner Jason Bradley said that after purchasing the building, he spent about six months in construction and remodeling to convert the space from a banquet hall.

Some original elements, including the columns and chandeliers, still grace the space, lending a fitting element of transformation into a furniture gallery. Within these walls, shoppers can explore high-end furniture from across the globe and across the state.

Bradley said that Atlas Furniture carries high quality, handmade items, such as the curved chaise lounges built by Enrico Bartolini in Harrisburg area. Bartolini has been creating and selling quality originals for decades and used to buy for Macy's and other department stores.

Imports are flowing readily to Atlas in Duncansville from Nicaragua, Italy, India, several Asian countries, as well as rugs from Afghanistan and Pakistan, despite pandemic-induced supply chain issues that are plaguing other retail establishments. The challenge comes in communicating delivery details with their suppliers whose customer service staff are extremely busy.

Most of Atlas Furniture's merchandise are hardwood including the dining room tables, bed frames and accent pieces, sideboards and dressers. Bradley said that they carry a little bit of everything. Their niche is accent pieces that are unique, featuring bookshelves, sideboards, TV stands and floating bars.

For shoppers searching for fun accessories or accent pieces on a budget, Atlas also has something for you. Their motto is to do things differently than everyone else. They shop the world for unexampled pieces that make a room come to life. With Atlas in your corner, your redesigned space will be exclusively your own.

Though their display floor is expansive, Atlas also has a warehouse full of one-of-a-kind unique pieces. Atlas staff are happy to search the warehouse and take photographs of furniture for clients who are searching for something different that they do not see on the sales floor. Many clients shop Atlas via Facebook, asking price and availability. They post photos of current items and respond to Facebook inquiries quickly.

In addition to Jason, Atlas boasts a designer in residence. Michael Cox designs the settings in the showroom and gladly works with clients' transformation plans. Angela Ruggery, store manager, is also available to assist shoppers.

Atlas Furniture Imports is open seven days a week. More information can be found on their Facebook page, Atlas Furniture Imports, LLC.

Coming soon to the other side of the Calvin House is Cafe Kiros, an organic coffee shop, small grocery area, bookstore and retail area with a restaurant in a 4,000 square foot area. Bradley said the cafe will feature live music, and events with a large outdoor patio in warmer weather. Clients can grab a coffee and browse the world's most exclusive furniture, all under one roof, without leaving Duncansville.
