Hollidaysburg Herald Closing Down Jan. 1

The Herald Will Have a Monthly Hollidaysburg Page

The Morrisons Cove Herald has announced that the Hollidaysburg Herald news website will be closing down on Jan. 1, 2022, according to Herald Editor Anna Baughman.

“We just couldn’t get the advertiser and subscriber support that we were hoping for,” she said. “However, this does not mean goodbye forever. The Morrisons Cove Herald print edition will feature a Hollidaysburg Herald Page in the last edition of each month.”

Editor Baughman said that the Herald hopes that by providing Hollidaysburg news in print, more advertisers and subscribers will become interested in supporting the publication.

“The Hollidaysburg Herald website could return in the future with enough support,” she said. “In fact, even a print edition of the Hollidaysburg Herald is possible if the community gets behind it.”

Those interested in Hollidaysburg news are welcome to pick up a copy of the Morrisons Cove Herald on the last week of each month in order to read the Hollidaysburg Herald Page, Baughman said. Those who wish to express support for the re-establishment of the Hollidaysburg Herald as a stand-alone publication may contact Editor Baughman at (814) 793-2144 or [email protected]. Both businesses and readers are welcome to call.

“We want to thank subscribers for their support and interest in the Hollidaysburg Herald these last few years,” Baughman said. “We would also like to thank our correspondents for their dedicated work to provide the Hollidaysburg Herald with news.”
