The Southern Cove Craft and Vendor held at Replogle School building Nov. 27 was a success. Many crafters from nearby communities participated and offered a variety of items.
Daniel Styer from Pleasantville made wreaths and swags. She said, “I have always been good with making things. I learned from my aunt as a child.”
Styer also makes curtains and other items. Some wreaths light up.
Ashley Huntsman from Alum Bank had some new products. She was selling fresh dried fruits and vegetables. This company, called 25 Fresh Freeze Dried, is only about a year old.
Tracy Barnes from Hopewell has been making crafts for over 20 years. She had many items to choose from including snowmen, Christmas wreaths, ornaments and more.
Jennifer Morrow sold a new product. Morrow was selling Color Street products, a company that sells 100 percent real nail polish. There is no dry time and no tools. Color Street polish is stick-on nail strips.
Tonia Beech from Woodbury has been selling Thirty-One Gifts products for 10 years. This is a popular company with totes and bags of all sizes.
Tonya Thomas started her own jewelry company about 8 years ago called It’s a Bling Thing. Thomas is from Hopewell and had jewelry from rings to necklaces and bracelets.
Austin Berkhimer has a company called Cross Cove Metal Works. He started this business two years ago and is from Roaring Spring. He does signage and other pieces out of metal. Berkhimer said he likes working for himself so he can work when he wants. He spends 6 months every year doing mission work for Bonnie Floyd Ministries.
Members of the Southern Cove Fire Company had food to purchase, including ox roast sandwiches, pepper soup and cookies.
