A worker from Knopp & Klatt Excavation of Ebensburg, puts the finishing touches on the fresh pavement in front of the Roaring Spring Laundromat. The paving, completed on Wednesday, Nov. 17, is one part of the improvement plan put in place by the laundromat's owners. The owners plan to have the lot striped in the spring.
The parking lot at the front of the Roaring Spring Laundromat has been paved, according to its owners.
"This is the latest improvement to the laundromat," Co-owner Allan Bassler said. "We promised the Roaring Spring community that we would continuously improve the laundromat and that's what we're doing."
The asphalt pavement covers a packed-stone parking lot. It also repaired a broken section of sidewalk along Girard Street in front of the laundromat. Bassler said that the lot will be striped in the spring.
