New Flights Possible

Members of the Blair County Airport Authority met with Chautauqua Airlines about the possibility of providing flights to eastern destinations. The Authority was working with the Johnstown airport to secure the flights.
The Williamsburg School Board directed superintendent Lee Swinsburg to submit architectural plans for state approval for reimbursement should the school district proceed with a building plan. The board was debating whether to go ahead with the plan due to the high cost.
Gerald Beach of Woodbury was honored at the State Capitol for his volunteer work at the Northern Bedford Food Pantry.
JB Tree Farm near Williamsburg adopted two reindeer named Dasher and Dancer.
Robert C. Jubelirer was set to be nominated again as Senate president pro tempore for the next legislative session. Republicans held 30 of the 50 seats in the Senate.
