For years, the monthly all-you-can-eat fundraising dinner held by the Freedom Township Volunteer Fire Company has stayed at a steady $10 per meal. As price increases on supplies throughout the years cut into the fire company's profit, officials resisted raising the price of the meal because they were generating enough revenue to allow them to hold the line.
However, the trickle-down effect of the COVID-19 pandemic has finally caught up with them, forcing fire company officials to raise the price of the monthly dinners a modest $2, making each meal $12.
