I started thinking I would write about a “heroine” this time. But as I got to working on it, I thought I might also mention the hero. Before you know it, I got the third person involved. The whole story is found in the Old Testament book of Ruth. Ruth would have been my heroine. She does not have typical qualifications so far as we can tell. She is a foreigner, poor, illiterate, with no family connections, or other star-power status. We have no idea about her looks. But she has qualities that make her my heroine.
