Northern Bedford Slaughters Tussey Mountain

The Northern Bedford Black Panthers captured the District 5-A title Friday night with a 47-0 win over the Tussey Mountain Titans. Sophomore Adam Johnson paced the ground game, carrying 16 times for 136 yards and 4 touchdowns, and sophomore Senior Griffin Keller also rushed for a touchdown. Sophomore QB Eion Snider completed 8-of-12 for 155 yards and a pair of scoring passes, both to Freshman Aaron Bowers. Bowers hauled in a total of 4 catches for 98 yards to lead the receiving squad.

Senior Hunter Walter led the defense with 7 tackles, including 2 for a loss.

The Panthers (8-3) will next face the winner of the District 10-A final, which matches up the 8-0 Cochranton Cardinals and the 6-4 Reynolds Raiders. That game will be played this Friday, Nov. 12.
