Putting cows on the front page since 1885.
When my sister and I moved in together three years ago, we brought together two cats, and in the meantime, have adopted another one together. Since then, I have been begging and begging for a dog as our parents have two of the best dogs on the planet.
Finally after years of begging, my sister finally agreed and over the weekend, we adopted Cooper – a full bred Golden Retriever. This inspired my question for the week – what was the best pet you ever had? Here is what a few residents had to say:
Lori Brubaker: That's a tough question because they are all/were special in their own way!
David Shanholtz: All of our dogs have been special with each having different personalities.
Cara Logue: All my pets were awesome, but I do miss my rat "Friendly" and my groundhog, "Miss Piggy."
Renee Criswell: Our current dog, our Pug, Darby! She's sassy and spunky and so lovable. She makes our family complete.
Ella Bell: King and Rex – dogs I had growing up, they were outside dogs.
Ellen Jane: An English Springer/Brittany Spaniel mix, "Smores" – she is loving, pleasant, smart, loyal, well-mannered, listens very well and is a great watchdog. We were blessed to find her at the Blair County Humane Society. It's amazing how much of a personality she has and how well it matches our family!
Cindy Blontz: A cat
Donna Gibson: A guinea pig has always been my favorite pet since I was a kid. I still raise them as pets!
