Appvion Plant Owners Hold Auction Online; Future of the Site Remains Unclear

If you drove past the former Appvion Paper mill in Roaring Spring last week, you may have noticed a sign indicating an auction was taking place, and if you were taken by surprise, you weren’t alone.

According to Roaring Spring Borough Council President Rodney Green, local labor and borough officials were not notified by Roaring Spring Park, LLC, that an online only auction was planned and only found out through word of mouth.
