Big First Quarter Propels Panthers

Curwensville was late arriving at Northern Bedford for Friday night’s ICC matchup. They were also late in getting started as the Panthers shell shocked the Golden Tide with a 28-point flurry in the first quarter enroute to a 41-20 victory.

NB opened the game with an 80 yard, 11 play drive culminating in a Kainen Brown 2 yard TD plunge. Just five plays later, Mason Detterline blocked a Jake Mullins punt giving NB the ball at the 2 yard line. Griffin Keller swept the right side untouched for a second NB score within 40 seconds of the first.

Aaron Bowers got a second blocked punt for the Panthers...
