Clarification

The article “SCSD Votes to Follow Mask Mandate, Inciting Anger From Parents, A Plea from Student For No Virtual School” by Thomas Schmitt, which appeared on Page A-1 of the Sept. 23, 2021, Herald, has raised some questions.

According to Dr. Betsy Baker, Superintendent of Spring Cove School District, the board did unanimously approve a resolution and that resolution does include language indicating that the district will fully comply with the mask mandate unless it is revoked or determined to be invalid by a court.
