From the 'Burg to Your Kitchen

Between a full-time job, writing weekly articles for the Herald, taking college classes and assisting the volleyball team, my nights are busy, and with a sister who isn’t the next Emeril Lagasse, it falls on me to cook dinner.

Instead of eating out or take-out food (Julie’s specialty), I have tried to tackle some new crock-pot meals that are not only quick and easy, but taste good, too. I decided to share one of our new favorites with you this week.

Slow Cooked Lasagna Soup

Ingredients:

1 package Italian sausage, browned

1 large onion, chopped

2 medium carrots, chopped

2 cups sliced fresh mush...
