The Bedford County Historical Society will hold its 31st annual quilt show and sale Oct. 2 through 10.
On weekdays, the show and sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. On weekends, it will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. On the final Sunday, the show and sale will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Registration will be on Sept. 24 and 25. Friday, it will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Judging will take place on Sept. 27.
The tear down of the event will be on Oct. 10 at 4 p.m.
There will be a raffle drawing on Oct. 10. Raffle tickets are on sale now. The raffle is for the “Blue Star” quilt, pieced and donated by B. Ann Wambaugh, designed by Wendy Sheppard, machine quilted by Helen Terza, and fabric “Rhapsody in Blue” by Mary Koval.
The Pioneer Quilt Challenge theme for this year is the 100th anniversary of passage of the 19th amendment, the women’s suffrage amendment.
Each quilt of wall hanging must have a 4 inch sleeve attached before being accepted for registration. Quilt dimensions are needed before registering.
Masks are required.
