Martinsburg
Mitchell Cletus Horton, 57, of rural Martinsburg, passed away, Thursday morning, Aug. 26, 2021, at Shadyside UPMC Hospital, Pittsburgh following a brief illness.
He was born Feb. 15, 1964, in Roaring Spring, son of Donna M. (Decker) Horton and the late Darryl R. Horton.
He married Tressa J. Felix July 25, 2003, in Hollidaysburg.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 18 years; his mother of Henrietta; a son, Colin Mitchell Horton at home; a sister, Melissa M. Dick (Richard) of Henrietta; and a brother, Michael R. Horton (Andrea) of Martinsburg.
Mitch was a 1982 graduate of Central High School, Martinsburg, and also completed diesel mechanic repair school through Vale Tech, Blairsville.
He was a self employed equipment repairman for many years and also worked as a diesel mechanic for Beckwith Machinery Company, Duncansville for 20 years.
He was an original member and helped build the track for the Blair/Bedford Dirt Drags. Mitch loved spending time with his family, especially riding snowmobiles with his wife, Tressa and son, Colin. He also enjoyed riding four wheelers, wave runners and motorcycles.
At Mitch’s request all services will be private.
Memorial contributions in memory of Mitch may be given to his family to help defray expenses.
