Dorothy Leone Zimmerman, 89, of Woodbury, went to her heavenly home Aug. 23, 2021.

She was born Sept. 16, 1931, in Woodbury; daughter of the late Mark Sr. and Martha (Sell) Bulger.

On September 29, 1951 at the United Methodist Church in Woodbury, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Eugene “Shiney” Zimmerman; he preceded her in death Dec. 13, 2018.

Leone was a class of 1949 graduate of Woodbury High School. She worked for her parents in Woodbury at M&M Restaurant and then as a sales clerk at Bulger’s Jewelry. Leone was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Woodbury and the RS Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed flowers, reading, and her cat. She was involved with the Faith United Methodist Church Women’s group and the Meals on Wheels program. Above all, her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren were the loves of her life.

She is survived by a daughter Jill Stonerook and husband Don of Martinsburg; daughter Beth Morgret and husband Duane of New Enterprise; four grandchildren: Sara Eshelman, Jesse Gutshall, and Garrett and Jason Stonerook; four great-grandchildren: Sadie Eshelman, and Liam, Ava, and Emmett Gutshall; and sister-in-law Rosalind Bulger.

A Celebration of Life Service took place Friday, Aug. 27, 2021, at Faith United Methodist Church in Woodbury. Pastor Josh Tobias officiated.
