League: ICC

Returning: Cyrus Simmons (12th), Levi Hoover (11th), Ethan Watkin (11th), Jeremiah Ross (10th), Eliza Mock (10th)

Newcomers: Ethan O (9th), Brooke Stewart (10th), Kara Landsberry (10th)

Strengths/Overall Outlook: “I am fortunate to coach a group of runners willing to put in the time and effort it takes to learn the sport and improve with hard work. I also need to give them credit for being a very respectful and fun group to run with.

Over half the team is new to the sport and I’m excited to watch them grow as runners this season.

Junior High is brand new to WHS! I have a fabulous group of four young ladies who are representing their school for the first time in cross country.”

Concerns: “Of course, being small doesn’t always lend itself to many wins, so I don’t want to see my runners getting frustrated by this. Of course, avoiding injuries is always a concern, as well.”
