Young Man Fatally Shot

David Frederick 22-year-old farmer of Taylor Township, met with a fatal accident while hunting for a hawk that had invaded his chicken flock. Nearing the W.S. Ferry farm with his gun, he stopped to talk with friends and rested his gun on the running board of their car. Leaning as he talked, the gun slipped and discharged, fatally wounding the young man in the chest. Since childhood and the death of his parents, he had made his home with Prof. J.K. Ritchey, former principal at Roaring Spring.

By mutual consent, the partnership between David and Harry Klepser was dissolve...
