Alaina Musselman New 2021 Little Miss Claysburg Queen

On Aug. 14, at the 26th annual Little Miss Claysburg Pageant, Alaina Musselman won the title of Little Miss Claysburg Queen. She is the daughter of Terri and Christopher Musselman. Musselman enjoys cheerleading and dance.

When asked by the judges what her wish would be, Musselman was quick to respond emphatically, her wish would be to get rid of COVID-19.

Mallory Rose Dodson, the 2019-2020 25th Annual Silver Anniversary Queen, crowned the winner. Dodson is the daughter of Christa and Ryan Dodson.

Diana G. Walter-Dively’s motto encompasses what the pageant is all about: Confidence, Character, Discipline and Leadership.

There were three rounds of judging: parade of contestants, introduction of contestants, which was collective judging, and an interview of contestants, also collective judging.

Points were used in each category the girls were judged on. These categories included appearance, such as personal grooming, hairstyle and accessories. The girls were also judged on modeling, such as smile, walking length of step, eye contact. Judges also looked at showmanship and poise including spirit, expression, attitude and the interview, which was worth the most points and included complete thoughts, personality and choice of words.

Six runners-up were chosen. In sixth place was Khloe Lashae Weyandt. She is the daughter of Megan and Johnny Weyandt. Fifth runner-up was Dellaney Grace Replogle, daughter of Jessica and Bill Replogle. Fourth runner-up was Adalyn Jayde Weyandt, daughter of Dayna Hafer and Adam Weyandt. Third runner-up was Alexys Grace Tomlinson, daughter of Tiffany and Craig Tomlinson. Second runner-up was Kassidy Rayne Claycomb, daughter of Ashley and Zane Claycomb. First runner-up was Mya Jacklyn Cary Weyant, daughter of Denitia and Jason Weyant.

Special awards – the Loretta “Ret” Walter Memorial Spirit Awards – were given out in memory of Diana G. Walter-Dively’s mother, who co-sponsored the pageant with her daughter. These awards were donated by Diana G. Walter Dively, not the Sponsorship Level Fund.

The first award was given to a stage attendant/committee member for devotion and dedication. The winner this year was Avionna N. Latteiri.

The second award goes to a sponsor for gratitude and support. This year’s winner was Brady’s Texaco Station (Rich and Pam Musselman).
