Claysburg Area Farm Show Begins Sept. 7

Some may have noticed the premium books at local businesses in the Claysburg area. Yes, it's that time of year. The Claysburg Farm Show is coming up next month.

Since last year's farm show was canceled due to COVID-19 restrictions, participants may enter anything that they have made or grown since the last farm show in 2019.

Once again, the Claysburg Farm Show will hold the apple pie, angel food cake, chocolate cake, and junior cookies, brownies or bars contests. The rules of the contests are in the back of the premium book.

There are two new classes this year in the honey and maple syrup categories. Baked items were added to both sections. Recipes must be included with these entries.

Bring items to exhibit between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 7.

Entries can be picked up after 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11.
