Negotitations Continue

Ongoing negotitation between Martinsburg Borough and Huston Township concerning police services in the township surfaced again at Monday’s meeting of borough council.

Huston Township currently receives police service from the Martinsburg Police Department at a cost of $16 per hour, and borough council members have expressed a desire to increase that rate.

A prominent historian of the Brethren Church will be the guest speaker Sunday during a service marking the 200th anniversary of the New Enterprise Church of the Brethren.

Dr. Donald F. Durnbaugh, currently the archivist at Juniata College, will speak at a 10:30 a.m. worship service.

Chapter officers from Northern Bedford Future Farmers of America participated in the Western Pennsylvania FFA Leadership Conference held July 25 and 26 at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.
