Roaring Spring

Evelyn K. Mock, 75, of Roaring Spring, passed away Friday, July 30, 2021, at UPMC Mercy, Pittsburgh.

She was born Apr. 24, 1946, in Roaring Spring, the daughter of the late Roy and Leah (Huston) Dick. She married Harold R. Mock on May 19, 1962, in the Faith Assembly of God and he passed away Sept. 10, 2007.

She is survived by six children: Amanda Holsinger of Berne, Ind., Cindy Lafferty and husband, Rick of Roaring Spring, Carl of State College, Randy and wife, Jolinda of Woodbury, Sherrie Mock and fiancee, Jim Wright of New Enterprise, and Mary Long and husband, John of Bakers Summit; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by seven siblings: Myrtle Eichelberger of Pittsburgh, Charles “Shine” Dick of Martinsburg, Janet Iilar in Florida, Chris Dick of Altoona, Louise Drake of Roaring Spring, Vicki Seiler of Donnertown, and Sandra Seiler of Roaring Spring.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Randy Charles Mock, Jr. and a sister, Marlene Dick.

Evelyn was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Roaring Spring, and had also attended the Royer United Methodist Church. She had previously been employed at Darlene’s Restaurant and had delivered the Altoona Mirror in Roaring Spring for many years.

She loved camping, playing bingo, going to the races, and she especially loved spending time with her family.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
