Plans for Martinsburg Waterline Upgrade In Motion

The Martinsburg Municipal Authority has proposed the replacement of 9,500 feet of waterline in Martinsburg. The waterline is located between Martinsburg Borough and the Lock Mountain water distribution system storage tank (located adjacent to Lock Mountain Road).

The original 6-inch cast lines were installed in 1892. The new line will be 12 inches, which will allow more volume to come into town.

Of the two lines that come into Martinsburg, one has already been upgraded to 12 inches.
