Residents Oppose Project

Roaring Spring residents were asking for an amendment to the borough’s zoning ordinance after having learned that a townhouse apartment project was proposed for the Cove View area. The community’s Zoning Board of Adjustment had turned down an appeal from American Homes of Hollidaysburg on July 27 for the construction of two eight-apartment townhouse units in a residential location. Residents of Cove View Heights and Robinson Avenue turned out for the borough council meeting to ask the council’s support of an amendment to guard against such a development being constructed...
