Catharine Township Supervisors announced during their July meeting last Thursday, July 22, that they had received the American Rescue Funds from the government in the amount of $35,628. This is only half of what the township will be receiving; the rest will be coming next year.
According to Chairman Heather Flaig, the Township is “undecided, not 100 percent sure” of what to do with the funds, as the guidelines are “strict.” Flaig said the front-runner of the project is “water drainage issues” in the township.
At last month’s meeting, it was brought up about the condition of Etna Furnace Road....
