Treese Lad Killed on Pike

Paul Edgar Treese, four-year-old son of Mr. And Mrs. Charles Treese of Roaring Spring, died at Nason Hospital after being run down near his home along the Woodbury Pike. He crossed between two cars going in opposite directions, became confused and ran in front of the oncoming one that was driven by a Waterside man.
The New Enterprise area was visited by a heavy rain and a hailstorm, covering the ground with hail and leveling the corn fields, while the “artillery of Heaven gave forth heavy peals of thunder and vivid flashes of lightning.”
