Williamsburg Community School District Board of Directors met on Tuesday, June 15, for their June meeting.
First on the agenda was the adoption of the 2021-22 school year. Revenues are $8,505,999 and expenditures are $8,983,449. These amounts reflected no tax increase. The millage rate for the year will be 8.882.
The school board reappointed Beard Legal Group P.C. as the school district solicitor at a rate of $165/hour for solicitorship matters, labor relations and litigation matters.
The board also approved a 4 percent staff salary increase for the 2021-2022 school year.
Dr. Jonathan Zimmerman was appointed as the school district dentist for the 2021-22 school year at a rate of $3/exam.
Dr. McLellan of Williamsburg Family Practice was reappointed as school district physician for the upcoming year at a rate of $25/student physical and $30/sports physical.
Joshua Harper submitted his resignation as a high school science teacher, effective June 1, 2021.
Matt Neri was named as the junior high head football coach for the 2021-22 school year.
Kayla Detwiler was named band front advisor for the upcoming school year.
The school board also donated $600 to the Williamsburg Public Library.
