Martinsburg Community Library’s summer reading program titled “Tales to Tails” will be virtual.
Librarian Danette will have weekly programs with crafts and themes about animals. Children can participate in the library or online.
July 9 author Matty Giuliano will be at the Johnson Pavillion in the Morrisons Cove Memorial Park to talk about “My Name is Musky,” his book about a ferret, and he will exhibit a live ferret. The library will have a drawing where the winner will receive a toy ferret. Danette reminds the community to donate money or supplies to the Humane Society.
The Taste of the Cove, annual library fundraiser, will be at the Bistro on Oct. 9, 2021. Tickets will be available at $25 a piece; there will be 100 available.
Roaring Spring, Williamsburg and Martinsburg libraries all received grants for STEM programming. STEM refers to a curriculum that increases children’s exposure to and proficiency in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
