June 6 through 12 was designated as National Garden Week. The library celebrated the beginning of growing season.
They recruited some young people to help us plant their raised garden bed.
On Monday, June 7, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant and parsley were planted in the newly constructed bed.
On Wednesday, June 9, the Summer Reading Program began. The first program was about garden critters. The children learned about pollinators and were able to match the pollinator with the species of flower which attracted them.
