South Woodbury Twp. Supervisor Jeffrey Imler Resigns

The Board of Supervisors have accepted the resignation of Jeffrey Imler as of June 1, 2021.

Supervisor Rick Musselman and Jay Claycomb thanked Imler for his service and said, “It was a pleasure working with you and you will be missed.”

Treasurer’s report was presented and accepted as read. Total Liabilities & Equity is $2,262,885.

SWT Wastewater Treatment Facility has a balance as of 5/31/2021 of $88,502 as of May 31, 2021.

As of May 31, 2021, Total Liabilities and Equity has a balance of $6,841,449.

Roadmaster Rick Musselman reported he cut down a tree on Golden Rule Road.

The supervisors are sending a letter to the Bedford County Planning Commission, notifying the commission of their intention to proceed with the Pine Hill Road Bridge 4 and 5 project for fiscal year 2025.

John and McElgin/Enid were present regarding the Teeter subdivision. The access road is only 16.5 feet, and they were granted waiver for right away for 1 home only.

A Cove Community Theater representative attended the meeting to request to waive the variance for 5768 Church View Road and 5774 Church View Road. Both properties are separately deeded but belong to the theater. The group would like to install an elevator linking the two together. The church would be used as the theater and the house would be a work, resting and storage area. The board agreed to do this, providing there was a notarized letter drawn up in case it is needed in the future.

Bedford County Association of Municipalities (BCAM) brought up the idea of allowing ATVs on the roads. This is not advised due to liability. Many ATV owners do not carry insurance and they do not want to take the chance of this coming back on township should an accident occur, said Musselman.

A deed is being drawn up to give the township ownership of the property beside the wastewater treatment plant.

There has been an issue with the right of way on Lunenburg Road. This has been marked and additional signage will be placed before June 15.

Scott Baker reviewed plans on upcoming poultry operation building. The timing of building is unclear due to the increase in lumber prices. This will be located on 816 Replogle School Road.

The next Board of Supervisors meeting will take place July 6, 2021.
