Borough Accepts Bids

The law firm of Haberstroh, Sullivan, Keating and George submitted the winning bid for the former borough office building at 133 Allegheny Street.

The Claysburg-Kimmel softball team finished its 2011 campaign with a 19-5 record, which included the District 6 Class A championship.

After winning its sixth District 6 title in the history of the baseball program, a one-run victory over Mount Union, Central scored a 4-2 win over Mohawk at Blair County Ballpark in the first round of the PIAA playoffs.

Williamsburg High School graduated 52 seniors. Chase W. Noye was valedictorian.

Claysburg-Kimmel’s 90th commencement was held in front of approximately 700 family members, friends and teachers who witness 65 seniors receive their diplomas.

The Taylor Township Board of Supervisors listened to presentations from Gerald Pastva, professional land surveyor, and approved his proposals for property line adjustment waivers.
